Tessa Thompson

Tessa Lynn Thompson, an artist and performer of Los Angeles was born in 1983. Thompson is the daughter of Marc Anthony Thompson (a singer/songwriter) and the granddaughter Bobby Ramos, an actor/musician. She grew up as a child in Los Angeles before moving to Brooklyn, New York. She's of Mexican, British Isles and Afro-Panamanian descent. Thompson was a student at Santa Monica High School, which was where she performed in numerous productions of the theatre. After her graduation she attended Santa Monica College where she earned a degree on cultural Anthropology. She was a part of Juliet in William Shakespeare's drama "Romeo and Juliet" in a play that was staged by the Boston Court Theatre in Pasadena, California. In the same year, her performance earned her the NAACP Theatre Nomination. Apart from the stage, In 2005, Tessa had her first television appearance when she starred in the CBS show Tessa Tessa Tessa
